ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

In preparing for course discussion or writing blog posts, you will likely find yourself reading about these texts or their authors – or additional material about various diseases and disorders – online. However, the written exercises for this course do not require you to consult secondary sources and are designed to help you cultivate your own ability to read closely, assemble textual evidence, and argue persuasively. Blog posts by nature are amenable to acknowledging source material: good links make a good post! Plagiarism—the uncredited incorporation into your papers of language or ideas not your own—will result in a failing grade for the assignment and possibly, given the circumstances, for the course. If you have any concerns about whether work you submit is plagiarized—intentionally or unintentionally—please raise these with me before you officially submit the assignment. Please review the NYUAD community’s commitment to academic integrity here.
